Let's just say that I tried to simplify as much as possible (one single tap on the app icon) the experience of videocalling,
removing the friction of classical UX of messaging/calling products. Older adults are systematically neglected by technology "solutions". This is a step in the opposite direction. If the product sticks, a new habit will form and this will embody the empowerment you are referring to.
